Painting an Epiphany

With the first juicy bite, my world changed. I fell into a deep awareness of where the peach had come from - Mother Earth. The peach, made from soil, sun and water, was entering by body, nourishing me and becoming part of me. Yes, of course I know our food grows from the earth, but this was the first time when my connection to earth through food clicked on a spiritual level. I took my time studying the peach, dazzled and awestruck by my overwhelming epiphany. Writing it here, the experience sounds trite, I know. But it was powerful and since that day, I enjoy food differently.

This new point of view inspired me to create a collection that honors our connection to Mother Earth through cultivating and consuming food. So painting vineyards was my response.

I painted 12 original oil paintings of Vineyards, which, at the time I write this, are available in my shop. Each one holds a special place in my heart because I remember the moment I was there and I brought the mood of how the day felt into each painting. Looking at them is a little like going back in time for me.
