FAQ
Purchasing
What's your return policy?
I will accept returns. The collector will pay for return shipping. The painting must arrive back here safely, so please pack the painting well. After the painting has arrived, I will issue the collector credit for another painting minus any credit card processing fees that I paid (usually 3.9% of the transaction).
I have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can contact me.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. The collector will pay for return shipping. The painting must arrive back here safely, so please pack the painting well.
Using the original box and packaging is advised. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 19779 Wanita Lane, Twain Harte, CA, 95383.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order when it arrives and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Store Credit
I will notify you once I’ve received and inspected your return. If it looks good, I will issue the collector store credit for another painting. If the painting was purchased with a credit card, the
processing fees that I paid (usually 3.9% of the transaction) will be deducted from the credit. Refunds may be given for special circumstances.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
I do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards. Usually if prints or paintings are returned, only store credit is issued. However, exceptions are made depending on the reason for the return. You can always contact me for any return questions.
Refunds
In the rare case that a refund is issued, and the collector paid with a credit card, 3.9% of the total transaction amount (how much I paid in credit card fees, sometimes it is only 2.9%) will be subtracted from the refund.
I do my best to represent the images accurately on your screen as well as ship the paintings with care. If you want to do a video call before purchasing an original painting, please schedule one with me here. Sometimes it can be really helpful for collectors the see the painting live and ask me questions about the piece.
How is my painting shipped?
I feel strongly about creating as little waste as possible so I reuse packing materials whenever I can. Therefore, your painting may come in a reused box and/or with gently used bubble wrap or paper. Large prints on paper will come in a plastic sleeve rolled in a rigid cardboard tube. Small prints in an envelope. Paintings and prints on canvas will come in a box.

Do you ship internationally?
I will ship internationally. Please contact me directly if you live outside of North America and wish to make a purchase. Please note however that additional border fees, duties, and handling fees may be charged by other countries after the painting as shipped.
Can I pay with a check, or Venmo, or Zelle?
If you want to pay with a personal check or Zelle, please contact me and we can arrange that! I actually love that because I can avoid paying credit card fees, which really add up.
What if I want my Original Painting framed?
Except for my very small paintings, most original paintings come unframed. For most of my paintings, the sides are painted as a continuation of the painting, so they look finished and beautiful to hang without a frame. However, if you prefer a frame, I can make that happen for a reasonable fee.
Contact me and I can help you choose a frame to go with your piece. The frame will be custom made from hardwood, so it will add about a three to four weeks to your order.
Process
Where do you paint?
I paint both outside and in my home studio. The process for painting a landscape outside is called "plein air". I try to finish those all at once but sometimes I am unable to and I finish them at home. Larger paintings are usually made in my studio. In the studio, I work from sketches, photos and memories.

Do you teach?
I have fun teaching and it is definitely part of the plan for my professional future. I would really love to do in-person workshop retreats locally and all over the world. When my son is a little older and he can help me out or stand to be away from me for long periods of time I will incorporate teaching into my career. Before then I may offer a half-day workshop here or there, although nothing is planned now. Be sure to be on my mailing list to find out when/if that happens. I have no plans as of now to offer any online classes.
