ARTIST NOTES: I am alone. I get out my easel and set up to paint on the windy hillside. A gust blows and knocks everything over. I turn around and twenty cows are lined up along their fence watching me pick up my easel. How long have they been there? I laugh. Gosh they are cute. I decide to sit with the panel in my lap to avoid the wind. I must keep going. The light is good and now I have an audience.

- Painting is unframed, you must buy a frame to hang it.
- I will frame it for you in a basic blonde wood frame like the one in "Curves and Straights" for an additional $50. Or you can find many pre-made frames to fit this painting online or at your local frame shop.

Packed with Care
Making sure your painting arrives safely is one of the most important parts of my business. I use bubble wrap, newspaper, and honeycomb packing paper to make sure your painting stays in perfect condition along its journey.
I feel strongly about creating as little waste as possible so I reuse packing materials whenever I can, but they will always protect your paintings with maximum care. Your painting may come in a reused box and/or with gently used bubble wrap or paper.
Framed Originals
Except for my small paintings, most original paintings come unframed. For those, the sides are painted as a continuation of the painting, so they look finished and beautiful to hang without a frame.
Want to Add a Frame?
If you prefer a frame, I can make that happen for a reasonable fee. Contact me and I can help you choose a frame to go with your piece. The frame will be custom made from hardwood, so it will add about a three to four weeks to your order. My favorite style of frame is a walnut or maple float, which means there is air space between the painting and the frame.
