ARTIST NOTES:
When I paint leaves and petals, stems and flowers I allow myself to come up with whatever works. I take risks and choose colors that talk to me. I let go of what it should look like or how I should paint. This experimenting allows me to grow as an artist and the result is a bold, fresh painting.
Wildflowers grow where they want. They will take over meadows and sidewalk cracks. If they have water, sun and soil, they will make it work. Painting flowers without a plan I am honoring the flowers journey to grow without a plan. Just follow the sun and make seeds. Just do your best. Follow the sun.

Packed with Care
Making sure your painting arrives safely is one of the most important parts of my business. I use bubble wrap, newspaper, and honeycomb packing paper to make sure your painting stays in perfect condition along its journey.
I feel strongly about creating as little waste as possible so I reuse packing materials whenever I can, but they will always protect your paintings with maximum care. Your painting may come in a reused box and/or with gently used bubble wrap or paper.
Framed Originals
Except for my small paintings, most original paintings come unframed. For those, the sides are painted as a continuation of the painting, so they look finished and beautiful to hang without a frame.
Want to Add a Frame?
If you prefer a frame, I can make that happen for a reasonable fee. Contact me and I can help you choose a frame to go with your piece. The frame will be custom made from hardwood, so it will add about a three to four weeks to your order. My favorite style of frame is a walnut or maple float, which means there is air space between the painting and the frame.

As I was moving away from San Francisco, I wanted to capture the beauty of the view from my hilltop flat. I'd fallen in love with Liana's work when I'd seen it years earlier, and I knew she was who I wanted to bring that vision to life. Luckily for me she said yes.
